The US Labor Department has today reported a fall in producer prices of 0.6% in February – the biggest fall since July 2009.
The fall, which was worse than expected, was attributed to a 2.9% decline in energy costs.

The latest global economic research by Baring Asset Management’s (Barings) suggests that of the major global economies, the UK looks most vulnerable to a renewed dip into recession.

European markets saw gains Wednesday.
The FTSE 100 was 0.43 percent higher to 5,644.63 in London, while the FTSE 250 added 0.79 percent to 10,008.5.

Minutes of the Bank of England’s March meeting have been released today and have revealed that the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) voted unanimously earlier this month to keep interest rates at the historic low of 0.5%.
