Demand for second hand cars is in decline as consumers increasingly opt to buy new models under the car scrappage scheme.
Research by Sainsbury’s Finance found 8% of adults plan to buy, or have bought, a used car between September 2009 and February 2010.

Newly retired pensioners on an annuity pension are receiving nearly half the income of those who retired 15 years ago, research has found.
Annuity rates have hit record lows, plummeting by 45% since 1994.

At today’s Pre-Budget Report, Chancellor of the Exchequer Alistair Darling unveiled measures to claw back money in order to pay off the UK’s spiralling debt.
