Randgold Resources leads miners lower

Europe’s equities markets saw declines Tuesday as the banking sector and miners lost ground and the oil sector was mixed in London.
The FTSE 100 was 1.04 percent lower to 4,249.21 while the FTSE 250 fell 0.84 percent to 7,414.56 in London.

There are fears for the euro zone today after official figures revealed that the area is heading for a period of deflation.
A short period of deflation (where prices fall rather than increase) could be a serious threat to the economy because it deters consumers and businesses from spending in expectation of falling prices.

Airlines flout EU insurance rules

A number of low-cost airlines are flouting EU rules on automatically adding travel insurance when flights are booked.
An investigation by consumer rights group Which? found that easyJet, Jet2 and Monarch continue to automatically add travel insurance policies at the time of booking.
